13 magical ways to celebrate Harry Potter
From Travel to DIY… a quick order on Amazon or a a full on Adventure. Here are 13 magical ways to celebrate Harry Potter!!
1 Make Wands, pencils wands, pen broom sticks
2 Make a Mandrake Pencil holder
Directions for wands, pencil wands, and pen broomsticks can all be found in this AMAZING book!!! It is the BEST book I’ve seen on creative, cool and actually doable Harry Potter crafts!
3 See a Harry Potter Exhibition
4 Eat Magical Harry Potter candy
So many fun and ridiculous candies and one has even turned into a game!!! Have you played Bean Boozled? It reminds me of the game the boys play in their dorm where the eat a sweet and act like an animal and Harry gets one what makes steam come out of his ears and he toots like the steam engine. Good fun! Harry Potter Candy
5 Visit Georgian House London and Alnwick Castle North Umberland England
6 Ride Scotland Jacobite Train and visit King’s Cross Station
7 Experience Universal Studios Harry Potter World
You can’t talk about 13 magical ways to celebrate Harry Potter without stating the obvious… It’s immersive and freaking amazing and every time I’m there I never want to leave.
8 WB Tour in London or WB Tour in Burbank
This one isn’t nearly as well known as Universal Studios but there is a really cool stop on the WB lot where you can see all the clothing, a giant terrifying Arragog, get sorted and see some of the Hollywood magic behind all the films in the Harry Potter Universe including the latest Fantastic Beasts films.
awww, she’s sad she was sorted into Ravenclaw and not Slytherin
9 Visit Poland College of Wizardry or The Lockhart in Toronto
Harry Potter mania is everywhere…. (and we’re not mad)
10 Make a Quill Pen and Ink
It’s SO cool how JK Rowling has pulled so much authentic history and blended it with mythology and then her own imagination. The result is a totally believable world. Quill and ink have been a large part of history for hundreds of years. We have a step by step (and video) to show you how to do it…even invisible ink for more magic 🙂
11 Brew up some Butter Beer or Pumpkin Juice
Josh makes his own butter beer and pumpkin juice. It’s pretty great but if you aren’t feeling the whole brew it yourself vibe, you can get it here: Butter Beer and Pumpkin Juice
12 Make Magical Color Changing Bath Bombs
13 Experience a Light Projection Show at Universal Studios
Because it wouldn’t be MAGIC if we didn’t give something more and extra

OMG, my fiance would LOVE these ideas! We went to one diner that had Hogwarts trivia cards, and he was more interested in getting me to quiz him than the food sitting right there in front of us!! I no longer allow him to identify as a Slytherin. He’s a freakin’ Ravenclaw!!!!
