Last week we set off on an adventure to the sixth largest state, Arizona. We were delighted to partner with the Cibola Resort and Spa in Peoria, Arizona to spend part of our Thanksgiving week with them. The experiences and memories gave This Family a lot to be thankful for.

Checking In

Right away we could see how Cibola Vista embraced the unique character of Arizona architecture and we knew we were in for a real treat!

This is one of the pueblo style buildings. Aren’t they cool?

Checking in is super easy! Right away we were greeted with friendly people,  a sandwich board full of sun things to do, an activity center, and one of my favorite things…spa water!!!

The grounds were beautiful and we spent the whole day enjoying them. Sage got a Scavenger Hunt and it was a great way to see a bunch of the amenities the resort had to offer!

The pools were lovely. There was even one just for adults. That one had a little bar where Josh and Grandpa took part in a mixology demonstration.

Grandma and Sage explored the grounds and found a giant connect four game to play!

I enjoyed walking around and taking photos of some of the beautiful gems hidden around the property.

Snippet O’ History

And it wouldn’t be us if we didn’t find a little bit of history. And find history we did! The name Cibola Vista itself has a great story behind it!

It was a full but fabulous first day! We took advantage of the beautiful soaking tubs in our rooms, listened to cowboy music in the distance, and nestled in the uber comfortable beds for a good night sleep and get ready for day 2!
