Oh it was tough to say good bye!! But we made sure we made the most of our time before saying farewell to Cibola Vista.
Day three we finished Sage’s scavenger hunt. It was a really great way to make sure we explored the resort to its fullest. The activities staff were very proud of her for getting everything on the list.
We spent the day enjoying some of the sights near by including all the saguaro cacti. They were beautiful and it was interesting to learn that they live to be between 150-200 years old. Oh if these guys could talk, imagine the stories…
Did you know the saguaro cactus is found exclusively in the Sonoran Desert? Yup, unique to this area and this area only. A try symbol of the American West, they can get up to 25 arms and is the largest cactus in the US.
Before we left we were greeted by a number of hot air balloons lifting off right across the street from us. It was an amazing sight and a beautiful way to end our time there!
A good time was had by one and all! We didn’t get to go horseback riding or up in the balloons because there simply wasn’t enough time to pack it all in. The Cibola Vista was so good at providing so many different opportunities for adventures we didn’t feel like we were missing a thing. Clearly there is only one solution and that is we will need to return.
